In depth
Verdict
Pat Eddery has not rushed Choiseau back to the racecourse after a nice reappearance run and that can pay dividends here, while Filemot can go well, and of the newcomers Malta looks the one to keep an eye on. Choiseau looked as though he would need the run at Nottingham and so to finish just a length down to Fabreze was a good effort. The form of his Salisbury run last year worked out well and he can step up to the mark this time. Filemot cannot call upon as much experience as the selection but nonetheless she ran well at Folkestone first time and should be able to improve for the extra furlong, so she can figure. Malta comes from a top yard and has an eyecatching pedigree where this contest is concerned, so she must come into calculations. Thumbs Up went well enough over c&d last time and with conditions the same here the Intikhab colt looks capable of showing more and can be thereabouts, but preference here is for Choiseau.
