Astrodome disappointed at Beverley last time but looks worth another try here and can score from Highly Regal, Sabre Light and Colorado Springs. The selection was made favourite at the Westwood for his seasonal return, when he stepped up to this sort of trip. He was sent to the front early on but weakened up the hill and looked very much in need of the run. With that under his belt, a more galloping track, and perhaps differing tactics, he is given another chance. Highly Regal was a 10f runner up at Lingfield last month and the fourth there has come out and won since, so the form looks solid enough and he has to be respected. Alan Bailey's Sabre Light sprang a 16/1 surprise last time and should stay this far, and escapes a penalty for that claiming win, so don't rule him out. Of the remainder Princess Maria is slowly going the right way, though this step up in trip is not certain to suit her, and we will side with Astrodome.
