Verdict
This is a decent conditions event and Goodricke could prove too classy for his rivals, the best of which could be Vortex and Corridor Creeper. The former David Loder inmate ended last campaign with a terrific victory in the Group one Sprint Cup at Haydock. This race is probably being used as a stepping stone to a crack at one of the big Autumn Sprints and he is very hard to oppose. Corridor Creeper has been running much better than his form figures suggest and with the stable going well at present he should be capable of reaching the frame. Vortex is getting on in years but still has plenty of ability. He is a horse that goes well when fresh and so the the two month break is in his favour and a big run can be expected. The pick of the others could be Turn On The Style, but for Goodricke this should be just a gentle workout before going on to much better things.
