        Verdict

        Non of those to have run look anything special, so this could well go to a newcomer. Clifden, who is out of an unraced mare, is related to several winners including one as a juvenile, while Green Ridge, a cheap foal, is a half-sister to the useful Whitefoot. She is from a shrewd yard and with John Egan doing the steering, is certainly one to keep an eye on. However, the one to be with is Wavertree Dream, who is from the same family as the useful sprinter Proud Native. She has the ideal draw, next to the rails and her stable have sent out two two-year-olds in the last fortnight, one finished fourth and the other one was just touched off close home, so the juveniles which the stable have sent out recently are running well. Of those to have run Ivory Lace, who was a close-up third at Warwick, shaped as though this trip was inadequate for her, but Borzoi Maestro did show plenty of pace before lack of condition took its toll at Windsor and he should have learnt from the experience.
