Verdict
Meneef gets a pretty confident call here ahead of Lake Charlotte and Play Bouzouki. Meneef cost $600,000 and showed a lot of promise when fourth on his debut at Newbury last season. The form of that maiden has worked out well with the winner having finished fifth in this season's Irish 1,000 Guineas and the fourth, Ouija Board, having won the English and Irish Oaks this season. As such, he is likely to prove hard to beat. Of the others, Lake Charlotte is likely to improve on her debut run, but more is required, while Play Bouzouki is really well bred but will certainly stay a good bit further than this in time. Once again, then, the vote goes to Meneef.
