Verdict

Poppets Sweetlove is proven with some cut in the ground and she could rate as one of the better bets of the day; Crazy Bear is fancied to chase her home. The selection caused a couple of upsets last season when obliging on good to soft ground and it appears that she needs some rain to be at her best. Conditions here should suit and she should be able to win off this mark of 65. Crazy Bear has been aiming for the stars over hurdles of late but will be more at home on the level against this lesser opposition and this consistent mare rates the biggest danger. Dot's Delight has a hard task from 7lbs out of the weights, whilst Rowan River is quite classy but her best runs have come on quicker ground and she may also need the run. Korikancha can not be fancied after such a lengthy lay-off, and so we will return to Poppets Sweetlove as the selection.
