In depth

Verdict

Mugeba is the only horse in the lineup who is returning from a period off the track but Gaye Kellaway's mare has run well fresh in the past and with the ground to suit she gets the vote ahead of Mick Is Back and Hits Only Cash. The selection won on her final start on desperate ground at Ayr and having shown an aptitude for all types of ground in the past, she is one horse who won't be looking constantly to the skies. A winner at the track before, this mark of 59 gives her a very fair chance. Woodhill Schnaps is 2lb out of the handicap but given his level of consistency on the all-weather this winter he can go well, whilst Proud Killer has tried different trips in the past but is arguably best over six furlongs. Hits Only Cash is a course winner so needs a check in the betting, along with Mick Is Back who kept his form well last season, albeit at a lowly level. Parkview Love looks to be on a very fair mark at present and must be considered a threat if back on song, however we like Mugeba and she can win again.
