In depth

Verdict

Satindra has shown that he handles cut in the ground, comes here on the back of a decent effort at Southwell and a reproduction of that effort may well suffice, so he gets the vote ahead of Cragganmore Creek and Magic Amigo. The last mentioned is not as good as he once was but trip and ground conditions help the John Jenkins-trained gelding has to be respected. Starcross Maid has been running consistently well on the Fibresand at Southwell of late and has every chance if able to reproduce that form back on turf but she is better on the artificial surfaces. Ashmolian ran better last time and will not mind the cut in the ground but is likely to have to settle for minor honours and of more interest may be recent Southwell winner Cragganmore Creek. Satindra has solid claims though and he is preferred.
