        Verdict

        Trueno can finally come good this term ahead of King Eider and Dalaram. Luca Cumani's french import only just failed to make a winning British debut when beaten ahead in amateur company and caught the eye on his latest outing when chasing home Sir Mark Prescott's useful Inglis Drever at Newmarket. A five pound rise for that sterling effort does not look harsh and it will be a disappointment if Trueno cannot build on that performance. He holds King Flyer and Jasmick on headquarters running and bigger dangers are likely to be King Eider and Dalaram. The latter has been a bit of a let down lately but is capable of much more, while King Eider has taken time to recover from his decent three-year-old campaign but is expected to pay his way this autumn. He can run into a place at least but for the winner we return to Trueno who should now be fully acclimatised.
