Jacqueline Coward won this twice as a jockey and saddled Tapis Libre to score a year ago from exactly the same mark as today then defend his Epsom Ladies' Derby crown. It looks as though he's been primed for another crack though last year's runner-up MUKHAYYAM could reverse the paces and take this. He was left flat-footed when the winner quickened but finished very strongly once in his stride and he later won two Class 2 handicaps. Desert Ruler came good when completing a double on Tapeta at Newcastle in January and was having his first subsequent start when runner-up at Chester last month so he's on the shortlist while Serena Brotherton would be first choice for most entries and Pacify has run in much better class handicaps at Epsom this campaign. Archippos could find the ground a bit lively, a remark that also applies to the three-year-old Rayna's World.
