Verdict
Soar lines up in form and can give the Cheveley Park Stud another success in this juvenile event for fillies, with Suez and Salsa Brava her only serious rivals on the evidence so far. Soar's owners landed this prize two years ago with Russian Rhythm, and while it is too early to be classing James Fanshawe's filly in the same league, she is the one to beat here. Winner of the Princess Margaret Stakes at Royal Ascot, connections reckon that she is a bit special, and as her dam Splice is a daughter of Sharpo, cut in the ground will not be a worry. Like Soar, Suez has had this race as an early target, and judged on her debut win at Goodwood, has plenty more to offer. She looks the main threat along with Salsa Brava who ran a blinder when touched off by Jewel In The Sand in the Cherry Hinton. None of the others have shown the same level of form and in a three-cornered affair on paper, Soar is the one to beat.
