Verdict
Sir Anthony can defy topweight in the nursery, with Sea Hunter, Ariodante and Rockburst worthy opponents. The Bryan Smart stable has not had the best of summers, but had a couple of winners this week and in Sir Anthony, has the likely winner of the finale. He has only raced on good to soft ground so far and so definitely handles the prevailing conditions, and is no stranger to topweight either, having finished second under the burden at Newcastle last time. Lightly raced, he can continue to improve and gets the nod. Sea Hunter was short of room close home at Newmarket last time and has been consistent, while Ariodante ran a bit too keenly in a conditions event at Ascot last time, otherwise he would have finished closer than fourth. Rockburst is another to consider, as she appears to be progressing the right way, and along with the Hannon pair, Spaced and Hallucinate, make this a fairly tough getting out stakes for punters, but we shall row in with Sir Anthony.
