In depth

Verdict

Duke Of Firenze has a tremendous record on this track and will be better for his run at Chester. El Astronaute has gone up 3lb for winning here last week where he battled back after being headed close home. Carlton Frankie led for much of the way in that event and with the run under his belt has to be considered though this can go to MAJOR JUMBO, who finished a close third after being up with the pace throughout and has Cameron Noble's claim to help. Kevin Ryan's charge was a neck to the good over Dakota Gold here in September and there should be little between the pair again. Final Venture, who was rated 110 when landing a Listed contest at Haydock in June and is 10lb lower, while Mr Lupton is a regular in these tough handicaps though usually over an extra furlong.
