Bayley retained the NXT Women's Title with victory over Carmella on Wednesday night - before a host of potential new challengers emerged.
The reigning champion bested Carmella with a roll-up in a competitive contest, with the opponents showing respect for one another post-match when sharing a hug.
Bayley and Carmella's embrace was swiftly interrupted by Carmella and Nia Jax, who jumped both women before Japanese grappler Asuka scared the attackers off - and engaged in a staredown with Bayley.
Alexa Bliss will also be hopeful of earning a Women's Championship shot and she staked her claim with a victory over former Funkadactyl Cameron.
Elsewhere, Baron Corbin bested Johnny Gargano with End of Days; Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley overcame two local talents; and the guitar-strumming Elias Samson knocked off Jesse Sorensen.
