One of WWE's most popular female talents from the last decade is back and it's interesting to see what happens this time around.

We analyse what's on the agenda for Maria Kanellis, alongside husband Mike, and what's got fans so excited.

'The Power of Love'

"We're here to educate everyone on SmackDown Live about the power of love", Maria exclaimed to the crowd when she made her surprise return to WWE on Sunday night at Money in the Bank.

Hand in hand with husband Mike Kanellis, nee Bennett, the pair were beaming with almost sickening level of happiness.

It appears their role over the next few weeks will be as role model for every couple out there.

It'll either be ironically entertaining or great to see the crowd rebel against their gushing message.

Will we see Maria in the ring?

Maria has enjoyed some entertaining feuds during her time, first in WWE and then in other companies.

Rivals have included Leycool, Mickie James and Gail Kim but her time in New Japan Pro Wrestling saw her come up against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, now on RAW.

Her skills on the mic have seen Kanellis used as a manager as well, so it'll be interesting to see where Maria fits in the Women's Division.

The role of Mike

"He took her name," a seemingly surprised JBL exclaimed after Maria and Mike's arrival at Money in the Bank.

Mike is an accomplished in-ring performer with experience in Japan, Ring of Honor and TNA before making the switch to WWE.

But whether he's the main attraction or plays sidekick to Maria, known well by WWE fans due to her previous six-year spell with the company, is an intriguing question.

To go along with their vomit-inducing love for each other is an 80s style love ballad that has become the biggest earworm in WWE.

Lyrics include "I'm burning up in your love" and "when they ask if the flame is gonna eat us alive, I tell them we'll be just fine".

But the tune has become surprisingly popular with fans, who admit they've already found themselves unexpectedly humming it to themselves.
