WWE has signed its first woman from the Middle East.
Shadia Bseiso was selected to join the company after being selected at a try-out consisting of 40 men and women from the Middle East and India.
Jordanian-born Bseiso, who currently works as a TV presenter and voice-over artist in Dubai, is trained in Brazilian ji-jitsu.
"It is an honour to be the first-ever woman from the Middle-East to sign with WWE," said Bseiso. "Working with the WWE is an incredible opportunity."
Bseiso will join the performance centre in Florida in January.
"I look forward to starting on my path to becoming a WWE Superstar," said Bseiso. "I have personally witnessed the power of WWE and the passion of the WWE fans."
Legendary WWE star Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, now the organisation's vice-president of talent, live events and creative, said: "Recruiting Shadia to join our developmental system underscores WWE's ongoing commitment to building a talent roster as diverse as our fan base.
"We're confident Shadia will help inspire future WWE Superstars, as we continue to recruit the most talented athletes and entertainers from around the world."
