      Verdict

      Some progressive chasers in opposition but Mighty Montefalco has looked a smart performer over the larger obstacles and gets the vote to defy an absence. Jonjo O'Neill's charge has been impressive over fences with wide margin victories at Stratford and Cheltenham and can make light of top weight. The son of Mtoto goes well fresh and is best on a sound surface so, with plenty of improvement still to come from this unexposed sort, he should take plenty of beating with Tony McCoy on board. Il Capitano enjoyed a confidence booster at Taunton last time but made several mistakes when 17 lengths behind the selection at Prestbury Park and is unlikely to turn the tables on just 3lb better terms. The Rile took advantage of a straight forward opportunity last time but has shown all his best form with plenty of cut in the ground and is passed over while recent Newcastle winner Keiran has more to do following a subsequent 7lb rise in this better grade.
