Verdict

This should not take a great deal of winning and, while the likes of Mel's Moment and Beautiful Mover have to be respected, Aiguille has an obvious chance and gets the vote. The selection is no world-beater but Richard Hannon has his string in good form right now and the son of Royal Academy has shown enough in his last two starts to suggest that he can take this. Clive Brittain's Hashima has shown signs of ability and has to be respected along with the reappearing Intended. Mel's Moment has struggled in handicaps of late and could do better back in a maiden, while the John Hills-trained Beautiful Mover tackles a mile for the first time and may improve for the trip. Aiguille has the form to win this though and a reproduction of his best should suffice.
