Verdict
Not much for us to go on here, but Paul Nicholls' Wild Knight showed enough promise at Exeter in May to suggest he is up to taking this sort of race. Given a decent workout that day he stayed on well for second and after a summer break he can put that experience to good use here. Of the other pair with experience, Ian Wood-trained Tweli looks interesting. A recent pipe-opener at Hereford should have put the five-year-old straight and he should improve here. Of the debutantes, the other Paul Nicholls runner, Gayble will command most interest, and the market should be taken as the best guide to his chance.
