In depth

Verdict

A chance is taken with Greenwich Meantime, who is holding his form well and he is selected in preference to First Dynasty and Smart John. The application of a visor for Argentum is also interesting and he is worth noting in the betting now that he reverts to a more appropriate trip. Smart John has won off a higher mark in the past and is not without a chance on these terms. However, he appears to need a little give underfoot and any rain will help his cause. First Dynasty got the mile and a half well at Warwick last month and has claims on the best of his form. However, Greenwich Meantime has the measure of a few of these on recent form and, having won off 80 in the past, a mark of 66 gives him every chance of getting back to winning ways today.
