In depth
Verdict
Amanda Perrett could have found an opening closer to home for Porthcawl this week, so the hint is taken with the four-year-old. She can confirm her superiority over Goodbye Mr Bond on these terms. Our Teddy has the ability locked away somewhere to win at this level and is also thrown into the mix for anyone considering combination plays for the forecast. The recent switch to Paul Blockley looks to have revitalised his interest for the game a little and he could be good value to factor in back at his best trip. Goodbye Mr Bond paid the price for a profitable spell last summer and has struggled in handicaps of late. However, he does act on firm ground and is in fair form at present. Still, Porthcawl is far less exposed than the rest of her rivals and, as she shaped up well at Kempton on her reappearance, she is fancied to make the long journey up from West Sussex worthwhile tonight.
