Verdict
This is a really tricky maiden to call but Cammies Future, Tybalt, Briannsta and Merchant look the four to concentrate on and we will side with Merchant. The selection is a well-bred colt who made a promising debut when fifth behind Montgomery's Arch at Folkestone. He is sure to come on for that run and with the faster surface also expected to bring about some improvement he looks to have solid claims. The booking of Keiren Fallon is another plus. Cammies Future is another who made a promising debut at Haydock on soft ground when third behind Apologies. The extra furlong here should not be a problem and he looks capable of making a bold bid. Tybalt ran well on his debut at Lingfield when second behind Time For You, and as he was very green that day he should be capable of better here. Briannsta is a well-bred newcomer from the Mick Channon yard and he will be interesting if the market speaks in his favour, but Merchant sets a fair standard here and he is taken to score.
