A fascinating race in which we believe King of Dreams will be capable of landing the prize at the expense of Flamboyant Lad, Negwa and Keelung. Mark Johnston's string are in good form and he could produce yet another three-year old winner in King of Dreams. The well-bred son of Sadler's Wells is closely related to High Chapparal so there is every reason to suggest that he will progress with age. While he was relatively unfancied when finishing second in a decent York maiden, the run suggested that he was in need of a trip and the step up to the extended ten furlongs should not inconvenience. Flamboyant Lad finished second to a stable companion in a weak juvenile maiden at Yarmouth. He did not look to be particularly speedy in the finish on that occasion and he could be vulnerable to a pacey type should the race pan out into a tactical affair. Negwa may need more than her filly allowance to be able to live with these. Keelung has the advantage of two recent outings over a mile at Lingfield although he too has looked a little cumbersome in a finish. The remainder look difficult to fancy unless there is market support to the contrary. There will be winners to come from this race but we believe that today will be a red letter day for King Of Dreams.
