Verdict
John Gosden always targets this race and has won the last four. TURGENEV looked a nice prospect when scoring at Newmarket and wasn't disgraced in the Group 1 Futurity at Doncaster. He didn't enjoy soft ground on his comeback at Newbury and will be ready for this. Arthur Kitt is undoubtedly the form pick on his victory in the Chesham at Royal Ascot and his excellent run in the Breeders' Cup. He also won easily first time out so the lack of a run shouldn't be a concern, though Cape Of Good Hope finished three lengths in front of him in the Royal Lodge and Aidan O'Brien's charge has an obvious chance stepping up to a more suitable trip. Mackaar hails from a yard in top form and has a Derby entry though he'll need to step up on his Lingfield victory while the Frankel colt Cap Francais could do no more than win his two novice races in good style.
