Verdict

DARCY WARD impressed with the nature of victory over course and distance last month and is taken to follow up off a 5lb higher mark with similar conditions expected to prevail. There should be plenty more to come from the Barber charge on just this second start over fences and he's taken to have the better of Bally Longford who looks to have been in the grip of the assessor for some time. Indeed, both Briac and course and distance scorer, Triple Chief, are seen as stronger threats to the selection as both arrive in decent form, enjoy prevailing conditions and do receive a hefty level of poundage from the topweight.
