In the amateurs' event that closes the card, we will opt for Bowling Green ahead of Red Society and Alvaro. The Jonjo O'Neill-trained selection won twice at Limerick last July but, despite not having won since, ran well at Cork two runs ago for an inexperienced rider. With Alan Berry, who has looked promising of late, taking over, he holds solid claims if anywhere near his best. Red Society was fairly consistent over hurdles and now returns to that sphere following six runs over fences, where he has now won. He too is entitled to go well from his current hurdling mark and, with a good rider booked and blinkers fitted for the first time, he is worth a look. As is Alvaro, even though his win last time came at selling level. Fairtoto is not the easiest to win with, a similar comment applying to Solo Dancer from her current mark, and the others have, overall, something to prove too. Once again, then, we will bank on a return to form for the selection, which is Bowling Green.
