In depth

Verdict

After a very easy debut success on fast going at Naas in October, Cool Thunder was thought good enough to tackle the Irish 1,000 Guineas on her reappearance and though eventually well beaten she was by no means disgraced. Gift Wrap was well beaten in a Gowran handicap in April and will need much more here but Mimicking's close fifth in a Group 3 at the Curragh in September is the best form on offer, though she didn't run as well at the same level the next time. RAYMONDA is the third foal of a filly who produced a Listed and Group 2 winner with her first two. She made an impressive start at the Curragh in October and is taken to remain unbeaten.
