Verdict
Al Badeya is the confident choice in this maiden and we think she should prove too strong for the likes of Twilight Star and Flying Goose. This filly from the Sir Michael Stoute yard was only narrowly beaten last time at Warwick when she chased home Gleneagles. The ground was slower than ideal that day but she showed enough to suggest that her turn would not be far away and she should be good enough to take this. Twilight Star certainly looks the part on breeding and this Godolphin newcomer is of obvious interest, although the stable's runners have been a bit hit and miss. Flying Goose ran green at Thirsk last time and although he shaped with promise that day, he will need to have ironed out a few quirks if he is to trouble the judge here. Wolf River has been running well and has to enter calculations, and as Richard Hannon has his string in good order at present, the newcomer Soul Angel could be of some interest. However, this looks a good opportunity for Al Badeya to get her head in front.
