    Verdict

Plenty open to further progress but LONDINIUM won a tougher handicap over 1m4f here on Wednesday and may shrug off a penalty attempting a quick double. He’s preferred to stablemates Bear Valley and Star Of The East while Shymkent won in soft going at Carlisle earlier and there was cut in the ground when Walton Street made a winning start at Pontefract. The latter makes more appeal than Charlie Appleby’s other runner Cross Step while Tuff Rock and Opinionate also make their handicap debuts but Swiftsure is upped a further 6lb after placing at Newmarket. Me Too Nagasaki could go well back on testing ground with Frankie Dettori taking over the reins.
