Verdict
The vote here goes to Mister Genepi, with Linngari and Chrysander rated as his biggest dangers. Linngari was put in his place at Newmarket last time but had earlier looked promising, not least when fourth in the Lingfield Derby Trial. This is much more like his level and he should go well. However, having finished second to Tucker in a Conditions event at Newmarket, Chrysander then finished fourth in the Group 3 Prix de la Jonchere, showing he is pretty smart. Cape Greko was a promising juvenile and showed enough on his seasonal return to suggest he retains plenty of ability, but Mister Genepi rates a danger to all as the Group 3 Gallinule Stakes third - just Im Spartacus and Scorpion were ahead of him - will relish this level and, returning to it after a down-the-field run in the French Derby, he looks to hold solid claims if at his best, particularly given that he is receiving weight from both Linngari and Chrysander. With the debutant Crisp Note likely to find his rivals too streetwise and talented, we return to the selection, which is Mister Genepi.
