Verdict

You can give each of the runners something of a chance here, with the vote going to Michaels Pride. Michaels Pride has won his last two races - and three of his last five - efforts that include a fair run here. Clearly in good heart, he might be able to keep the progress coming and rates as a danger to all. The last time that Kyle Of Lochalsh ran quickly after a hurdling effort, he won, and he does so again today, although a six-pound penalty means that he will need an improved effort to score, although he seems to be running better for the removal of the visor. Despite doubts to the contrary, Moonshine Bill stayed 12 furlongs well last time and, with connections now holding more options with him, he is entitled to go well. Course winner Party Ploy has now dropped to an attractive mark, and very nearly fully vindicated that point when narrowly beaten at Brighton two days ago. The question is, how much will that race and the travelling involved have taken out of him? Torrens is another to be seeking a straight hat-trick of wins, and runs here under a penalty following a Chester win. However, he is lightly-raced, looks progressive and is sure to attract plenty of support tonight, and we are expecting a bold show from this three-year-old. Finally, Millagros is back to a winning mark and has won at the track, although she will need to show more than of late to get her head in front. Once again, then, overall - in an interestingly tricky finale - we will just give the vote to Michaels Pride.
