Verdict
White Shift has been in good form of late having won races at Bath and Newmarket prior to finding just Mabait too good in a Ripon handicap last time but Paul Howling's filly may now be a shade high in the weights and preference is for PARISIAN ART, who gets the verdict ahead of Global City. Godolphin's colt was inconsistent as a juvenile but has run to a decent level of form in both starts this term in handicaps at Salisbury and Newmarket and he has every chance off the same mark today. Calligrapher disappointed on his reappearance at Newmarket last month but Michael Jarvis has his team in much better form now so he cannot be discounted. Wedding List improved with each start as a two-year-old, winning on his third start when successful in a maiden at Great Leighs and he has to be considered on his reappearance and handicap debut. Spiritofthewest ran better over five furlongs here last time and may not appreciate the return to six today so a safer option looks to be Parisian Art. Jeremy Noseda's gelding looked too high in the weights following his Newmarket debut success as a two-year-old but he has been given a chance by the handicapper after a couple of runs in conditions races last season and looks worth siding with on his handicap debut on his first start as a three-year-old.
