Verdict

Shaloo Diamond has been well held in both starts this term but has been given a chance by the handicapper so Richard Whittaker's gelding has to be respected but a safer option looks to be MEGA WATT, who gets the vote with Emperor Court rated the pick of the remainder. The selection made an encouraging reappearance when fifth behind Seeking The Buck over this trip at Newmarket last month and off the same mark the Willie Jarvis-trained gelding has solid claims in what seems a weak contest. Snow Dancer had been running well on the Polytrack but, apart from one good run at Beverley in April, has not reproduced a similar level of form on turf. Richard Fahey's Charlie Tokyo has given no sign of encouragement in two starts this term and of more interest may be Peter Makin's Emperor Court, who has every chance if able to reproduce his form on the Polytrack at Lingfield. In a poor contest, Mega Watt has solid claims and he is preferred.
