In depth
Verdict
Code Sign and Vodka Bleu look as though they will be fighting out a match here and Code Sign might just have the edge, while Romany Dream can chase them home. Code Sign was a decent handicapper over timber, but looked as though he has a future over fences when getting within six lengths of 120-rated Old Marsh at Fontwell last time. That was a very good debut over the birch and with improvement to come for the experience he might just have the edge. Vodka Bleu had similar ability to the selection over hurdles and makes his chasing debut here. The ground will suit, he will be well schooled and with McCoy in the plate, he will also be popular. He looks set to go well and should push the selection all the way. Nothing else makes appeal as a likely winner here, but if Romany Dream ran up to the form of his Southwell second last time then he can claim minor money, but for the winner we give the thumbs up to Code Sign.
