        Verdict

        STAR OF WAR has the best piece of form on offer when narrowly beaten over today’s trip at Newmarket in September. Richard Hannon’s filly won’t have to run up to that level in this company and should go close on her reappearance. She's Apples failed to show any progress on her latest outing here and Lady Schannell is preferred on a recent debut third over 7f at the track. The latter’s stablemate Seraphim was due to run at Newcastle yesterday while Exoptable has yet to figure and Bequest steps up in trip having placed over 6f in both starts so far.
