Verdict
Not too much form to go on here so it could fall to one of the newcomers with Go Padero and Penrith suggested as dangers to Belisco. Amanda Perrett¿s colt, who is by Royal Academy and cost 85 thousand dollars as a yearling, will know his job and can continue the stables fine run this season. Mark Johnston¿s juveniles have sparkled this term and he runs both Go Padero and Penrith and although the betting may be the best guide to their respective ability, Go Padero was the more expensive purchase and being a son of Night Shift looks to have a decent pedigree. Penrith is by Singspiel so he¿s also from a good family but only cost 30 thousand euros. Of the form horses Desert Diplomat from Sir Michael Stoute¿s powerful stable should improve on his debut run behind Secret Charm and is worth giving the once over in the betting market. But on this occasion we¿ll plump for the debutants, and Belisco is the choice.
