        Verdict

        An uncompetitive heat which makes limited appeal from a betting perspective as Chief Yeoman appears to have a straight forward opportunity to open his account. Sir Michael Stoute's charge is related to top Pattern winners such as Unknown Quantity and Starlet and showed plenty of promise on his debut in a hot Newbury maiden won by Almushahar before being narrowly denied over a mile at Sandown in September. The stable could hardly be in better form at this stage of the season and the highly regarded Chief Yeoman should have little difficulty in landing the spoils before tackling better company. Those to have raced previously are exposed as being selling class at best so it would be no surprise if newcomers such as Narooma and Curzon Lodge filled the placings ahead of Mi Amor who showed little on his recent debut.
