Verdict

Pianissimo failed to land the odds at Newbury back in April and has been gelded subsequently. Headgear is also applied for his first start since and WISE RULER (NAP) is preferred. The latter never threatened the winner when second at Doncaster at the start of the month but that was his seasonal debut and with Simon Crisford’s yard in red-hot form, he gets the vote to go one better despite having a couple of pounds to find with Entrusting. The latter returns to today’s trip after a modest effort over a mile and should have the measure of both Omnivega and Fly Lightly while Spy Fi debuts in this code having failed to figure in bumpers.
