        Verdict

        Beauchamp Pilot has proved a most progressive performer having won six of his last 10 starts including the Cambridgeshire and is the TEAMtalk selection to add to the tally. Gerard Butler's admirable gelding looked most unlucky when twice badly hampered in similar company here two weeks previously. The son of Inchinor still managed to finish an honourable third (Smirk fifth and held on identical terms) and, with underfoot conditions in his favour, can gain compensation. Kootenay is another who will appreciate the ground and has acquitted herself well in Pattern company both here and abroad. John Dunlop's charge is a tough sort who rates a big danger while easy Ayr winner Samhari has the form to go close and is another to consider. Horris Hill winner Rapscallion has yet to recapture the same level of form during a light campaign but will relish the conditions and shouldn't be underestimated.
