Verdict
KIPLING was beaten by stablemate and subsequent Chesham Stakes runner-up Lope Y Fernandez when second at the Curragh last month. The Ballydoyle colt may well prove good enough on that form and is preferred to Mass Media, who found one too good over track and trip last time. The latter’s stable companions are worth noting with the Kingman colt Tsar partnered by Frankie Dettori and Eshaasy a half-brother to 2000 Guineas winner Galileo Gold though Jim Crowley prefers Al Madhar to the latter. Charlie Appleby has won two of the last three renewals and Al Suhail is a 1.1 million guineas half-brother to Telecaster with Tammani and First Receiver others worth noting for the future.
