        Verdict

        Not a competitive race for the money. King Flyer, who has flattered only to deceive on more than one occasion, will love the fast ground and is only 3lbs higher than when successful at Redcar last September. However, he normally takes a race or two before he finds his form. Had there been some give underfoot, Clarinch Claymore would have been the selection. The winner of eight races (five of them on turf), Malcom Jefferson's charge had a successful time last season on turf, picking up three races and finishing out of the frame just once in 11 outings. As a consequence, he starts off this time around on a career high mark and while he may still be improving, there is a suspicion he does need to get his toe in. Factor Fifteen is interesting now he steps up to this trip for the first time. He is a half-brother to the useful stayer Tioman Island, so there is every reason to believe he will actually improve for this step up in trip. He is from a stable in form and he gets the vote to land a weak affair.
