Verdict

This isn't as competitive as the numbers might suggest. Dual All-Weather winner Indian Maiden looks beatable off this mark, some 5lbs higher than when successful at Wolverhampton. By Indian Ridge, it is likely she will need some give underfoot, to be at her best on turf. Rowan Express is effective on the forecast fast ground and doesn't look badly treated, off a mark 2lbs lower than when winning at Lingfield last October. She had a pipe-opener halfway through February, and should be fit enough to do herself justice. Tamarella is a speedy filly and is well drawn, next to the rails. She came to hand quickly last term and could take a bit of pegging back if anywhere near ready. However, the choice is Inching, who has bags of pace and will be well suited to the prevailing conditions. Drawn next door to the speedy Tamarella, she should get a good lead, before pouncing late.
