    Verdict

A run-of-the-mill Classified contest and with the ground drying out all the time, Adobe looks the one to be with. He will appreciate the drop in class, is relatively straightforward and with so many ifs and buts about his rivals, he is the one to beat. Vortex has been running well enough of late, including at Leicester last weekend, despite not moving that well to post. He left the impression there that he may appreciate some cut in the ground, so is passed over. Newcorp Lad is certainly on the upgrade and should again take care of Princess Speedfit on the same terms as when beating her at Hamilton. The latter didn't impress with her attitude that day and is one to have reservations about. It will be interesting to see how Newcorp Lad copes with the older horses and it would be dangerous to underestimate him, as he is likely to get a soft lead. However, Adobe will have the race run to suit and should be able to pick off Newcorp Lad in the latter stages.
