In depth
Verdict
Echo Point should have too much class for Pay Attention, with First Look perhaps the best of the Monteith pair. Echo Point has already proved his worth on this track, having scored over the course-and-distance at the end of April. He overcame a mistake at the first to go on and make all under today's pilot Tony Dobbin, and in fact that was his second victory over the bigger obstacles. The Nicky Richards inmate should have too much know-how for his rivals including Pay Attention who to be fair, did nothing wrong at Market Rasen, and who handles cut in the ground as well. Andre Chenier was disappointing last time, and a bigger danger may be his stablemate First Look, partnered by Timmy Murphy. The market may reveal which of Jimmy Lambe's two runners is best fancied, but for the winner it has to be Echo Point.
