In depth

Verdict

In a very trappy contest a narrow vote is given to Amadeus, Ready To Rumble and Sour Fontenail are also expected to be involved in the finish. The selection was an easy winner at Fakenham off a mark of 86 and has since been a little inconsistent. He could be the type to have his own ideas about the game, but if on a going day he is handicapped to go very close. Soeur Fontenail would probably prefer a couple of furlongs further but is in good form and should be in the shake up despite top-weight. Meanwhile Ready To Rumble cannot be easily dismissed on his recent third behind Corrib Lad. Course specialist Acertack is another to consider for each-way purposes, but our idea of the winner is Amadeus.
