          Verdict

          Kangarilla Road gets the confident vote in the finale with Sir Sandrovitch and Grandma Lily also shortlisted. The selection would have won last time at Catterick had it not been for a slow start. He was flying at the finish that day when a close third behind The Leather Wedge and although he is not ideally drawn here he should still take plenty of beating. Sir Sandrovitch is another in decent form at present and so is his yard but his draw is even worse than that of our selection and for that reason he may find a couple too good. Grandma Lily is well-treated on the pick of her form but she looks to have plenty to do to get competitive from stall 14. Soba Jones is always a danger in these type of events and he is of interest at a price from a decent draw. However, Kangarilla Road was unlucky not to win last time and compensation could well await for him here.
