In depth
Verdict
An ultra-difficult getting out stakes. The weights are headed by Whistling Dixie. He is ultra consistent and was in fine form over both jumps and flat earlier in the season. However, after a long absence and with his best form on an easier surface than today, he is passed over on this occasion. Major Attraction has been in good form (albeit in lowly grade) and steps up in trip today. The market should prove the best guide. Best Port comes here fresh from a recent victory. He is consistent but slow. A staying on sixth over course and distance earlier in the year, the suspicion is that this distance may be on the short side. Galanthus has looked a tricky ride in the past and it is difficult to suggest as to whether this trip will suit. One to watch rather than bet upon.
