In depth

Verdict

JOHN KIRKUP was narrowly beaten in a higher grade handicap over 6f at York last time but had landed a double over 5f at Carlisle before that and can return to winning ways in this. Angel Force carries 6lb extra for her recent win on the Knavesmire but was behind the selection earlier and Palmer may prove a bigger threat now handicapping for the first time. Villa Tora is another handicap debutante and will handle any cut in the ground but Big Time Maybe is harder to recommend.
