Verdict
Tropical Storm and Flash Ram look the two to concentrate on here and the vote is given to the first mentioned. The 3-year-old was a good third behind Kind at Kempton last time, and as the winner has since gone on to frank the form he looks to have solid claims. He is still lightly-raced and will come on for his seasonal reappearance run and he sets a decent standard here for the newcomers. Flash Ram was racing from out of the handicap when second behind Smart Minster at Ripon last time. He has to be respected but his overall profile is a little disappointing and for that reason he is opposed. James Fanshawe's Polar Magic is the other worth considering as he is a well-bred colt and is from a yard in good form. The market should be monitored for any clues but he looks to be one of the more interesting runners in the field. However, Tropical Storm looks to have rock solid form, is still improving and is the one they all have to beat.
