Verdict

A good turnout with SIR IVAN the choice. A solid servant to Harry Fry down the years, he continues to perform with credit, primarily at Class 2 level and should be in the shake-up with Sam Twiston-Davies a good booking. It's no easy task though with the likes of Regal Encore and Vintage Clouds heading the weights, although the latter, a Cheltenham festival winner this year, may need a stiffer test. Minellacelebration is noted as Katy Price's gelding is now 12lb lower than at the start of the year and temptingly treated at his best. Final Nudge, only four starts since February 2019, and Now McGinty, retuning after nearly 700 days off, are both intriguing entries.
